The most important issue of the 21st century is the future of life on Earth. It faces many environmental problems; pollution, waste and overusing the resources. People have directly an impact on the environment. Many people are indifferent to environmental problems. The world is a place of limited resources, so people should be aware of the problems threatening their environment and gain conscious about it. We should take urgent precautions to reduce the bad effects of environmental problems, to protect the nature and preserve the life because the world cannot care itself without the care of people. The most important step is environmental education, so we would like to know what other countries do to protect the environment. The students and the people around will be aware of the dangers around them and feel responsible for protecting the environment, learn about the effective measures to regulate the ways of production and consumption. They will use sustainable natural resources efficiently to leave a better world for their children. They will also obtain information about other cultures and share values for a European Dimension. The students will have the opportunity to develop research and ICT skills.
